Yo Maps Biography
Elton Mulenga, popularly known by his stage name Yo Maps, is a Zambian singer, songwriter, and music producer known for his melodic sound, heartfelt songwriting, and ability to create songs that connect with audiences across Zambia and beyond.
Born on November 29, 1994, in Kasama, Zambia, Yo Maps developed his musical career after relocating with his family to Kabwe at the age of 18. He officially began releasing music in the mid-2010s, with his early single “Njikata Kuboko” marking one of the first steps in his professional career.
Yo Maps gained wider recognition in 2018 after collaborating with Zambian hip hop heavyweight Macky 2 on the hit song “Finally.” The track became a major breakthrough and helped establish Yo Maps as one of the country’s most promising musical talents.
Over the years, Yo Maps has continued to build an impressive catalogue, blending contemporary Zambian music with soulful melodies, romantic themes, inspirational messages, and modern African sounds. His ability to consistently deliver memorable songs has earned him a strong following both locally and internationally.

Yo Maps has released several major projects throughout his career, including Komando, Try Again, My Hero, and Vibes on Vibes. His catalogue includes popular songs such as “Finally,” “Mr. Romantic,” “Try Again,” “Fatima,” “So Mone,” “Nga Teba Yahweh,” “Confirmation,” “Superman,” and “Bana Bandi.”
